We start with the 3rd edition of the International Lutoslawski Youth Orchestra17-06-2015

International Lutoslawski Youth Orchestra (ILYO) is a project of orchestral workshops, organized between September 7-11, aimed at young people aged 18-26 years.

The third edition of ILYO is dedicated to the works of its patron Witold Lutosławski and Béla Bartók. The orchestra, founded within the framework of the project, will participate in a series of workshops run by renowned European musicians and lecturers such as Adam Wagner (Poland), Eva Thorarinsdottir (Iceland / United Kingdom), Piotr Szumieł (Poland), Ilkka Uurtimo (Finland), Roberto Carillo-Garcia (Spain / United Kingdom), Miłosz Pękala (Poland), Michał Moc (Poland).

ILYO will be conducted by Ewa Strusińska - Principal Conductor and Music Director of the Szczecin Philharmonic.

The result of the project will be the final concert in the Golden Hall of the Szczecin Philharmonic. The programme includes "Funeral Music" by Witold Lutosławski and "Music for Strings, Percussion and Celesta" by Béla Bartók.
