International Lutosławski Youth Orchestra will perform for the fourth time01-06-2016
Recruitment into the fourth edition of the project „International Lutosławski Youth Orchestra” has just started.Once more, young musicians aged 18-26 from all over Europe, may become members of this unique orchestra and discover creativity of its patron - Witold Lutosławski. The recruitment will continue to 11th July 2016 on ilyo.filharmonia.szczecin.pl/2016/recruitment

Based on videos, attached to the recruitment form, a jury comprised of lecturers and the conductor will choose the musician, with whom they met on 12th September 2016 at workshops in Szczecin Philharmonic.

Workshops will be run by renowned musicians and teachers: Jakub Haufa, Adam Wagner, Katarzyna Budnik-Gałązka, Andrzej Bauer, Guntis Kuzma, Nicholas Thompson, Miłosz Pękala, Zygmunt Krauze and Michał Moc. Tutors will also accompany the orchestra on stage - as soloists during the final concert, which will take place at the symphony hall at the Philharmonic in Szczecin on Saturday 17th September 2016. Orchestra will be conducted - as every year - by Ewa Strusińska.

The programme of the final concert includes three pieces by Witold Lutosławski: “Partita – author’s version for violin and orchestra with piano obligato”, “Interlude for orchestra” and “Chain 2. Dialogue for violin and orchestra”. It will also include the world premiere of "Interludes to Bucolics" of Zygmunt Krauze, which is being prepared by the composer specially for International Lutosławski Youth Orchestra.
