International Lutosławski Youth Orchestra will perform for the fifth time01-06-2017
Recruitment into the fifth edition of the project „International Lutosławski Youth Orchestra” has just started.Once more, young musicians aged 18-26 from all over Europe, may become members of this unique orchestra and discover creativity of its patron - Witold Lutosławski. The recruitment will continue to 17th July 2017 on ilyo.filharmonia.szczecin.pl/2017/recruitment

Based on videos, attached to the recruitment form, a jury comprised of lecturers and the conductor will choose the musician, with whom they met on 4th September 2017 at workshops in Szczecin Philharmonic.

Workshops will be run by renowned musicians and teachers such as : Jakub Haufa, Katarzyna Budnik – Gałązka, Michał Pistelok, Jacek Muzyk, Igor Cecocho, Piotr Kostrzewa. The final concert will take place at the symphony hall at the Philharmonic in Szczecin on Friday 8th September 2017. Orchestra will be conducted - for the first time – by Rune Bergamnn.

The programme of the final concert includes pieces by Witold Lutosławski: “Little Suite”, “Symphonic Variations” and “Symphony No.1 D major Titan" of Gustav Mahler.

Utwór Zygmunta Krauzego „Preludia do Bukolik” został zamówiony przez Filharmonię i dofinansowany ze środków Ministra Kultury i Dziedzictwa Narodowego w ramach programu „Kolekcje" priorytet „Zamówienie kompozytorskie", realizowanego przez Instytut Muzyki i Tańca.
