Professor at the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław and the Academy of Music in Łódź. Trumpeter born in 1958 in Minsk. Graduate of the Belarus Academy of Music, where he studied trumpet with Prof. N. Volkov. Between 1986-1988, he made a doctorate there as well. He won the 2nd and Special Prize at the International Brass Instrument Performer Competition in Daugavpils in 1983. From 1979 to 1990 he was a soloist and manager of the trumpet section of the Symphony Orchestra of the National Television and Radio Company of Belarus and of the Minsk Bolshoi Theatre Symphony Orchestra and from 1986 to 1990 - a lecturer at the Belarus Academy of Music. Since October 1990 Igor Cecocho has been running the trumpet class at the Academy of Music in Wroclaw, and since 2006 at the Academy of Music in Łódź. From 1992-2006 he was a soloist of the National Forum of Music in Wrocław.

He leads an intense soloist career both nationally and worldwide playing both historic and contemporary trumpets. He has given concerts with most Polish symphony and chamber orchestras i.a. Sinfonia Varsovia under the baton of such conductors as Jerzy Maksymiuk, Robert Satanowski, Reinhard Seehafer (Germany), Larry Livingston (USA), Martin Hardy (England), Nikolai Dyadiura (Ukraine), Marek Pijarowski, Jerzy Salwarowski, Tadeusz Wojciechowski and others. As a chamber musician he has cooperated with such outstanding musicians as Emma Kirkby, Crispian Steele-Perkins, Paul Esswood, Gillian Keith, Olga Pasiecznik, Daniel Stabrawa, Andrzej Chorosiński, Marek Toporowski, Jan Tomasz Adamus.

He has made many radio,TV and label recordings. He has world premiered numerous works of contemporary music as well as early music works performed on historic instruments. The most important include the solo album MONARCA DELLA TROMBA recorded with the Wrocław Baroque Orchestra for DUX label, and Panufnik Hommage to Polish Music released by NAXOS, as well as Concerto In Modo Antico for trumpet and orchestra with Sinfonia Varsovia under M. Smolij.

Among his many students are laureates of national and international competitions. As a lecturer he has participated many a time in international trumpet masterclasses both in Poland and abroad. He was also a jury member in Polish and international competitions. During seminars and symposiums, he gave a series of lectures on teaching and playing music.
